Roselands Fitness and Squash Centre have a full range of freestyle group exercise classes during the morning and evening time periods. All classes are FREE* for members and are also open to the public.
What is Freestyle Group Exercise?
It simply means that our instructors are not forced to stick to a set plan or offer the same routine every week. Each class delivered follows a basic outline but our instructors are free to offer a variety of different activities each week. That means that even though it is the same class, each instructor will do it differently. This ensures that you wont get bored and constantly be challenged with new and exciting routines. (All classes are 55-60 minutes in duration and include abdominal exercises and stretching).

Some of our classes include-
Barbell
Barbell is a resistance training class using barbell and weights. Each participant may work at their own level as each person determines the weight used.
Cardio Boxing
This class is a high density workout building endurance and strength. If you are looking for a fantastic cardiovascular training class using boxing combinations and cardio training, give it a try.
Circuit
Using the circuit room, this class incorporates both the free standing workout stations together with intermittent aerobic moves in the centre of the room. The class may be split into additional stations at the discretion of the instructor.
Body Tone
A mixture of exercises using body weight and/or light weights to gain an all over body tone.
Fatburner
A combination of low and high impact aerobic moves using choreography to create an aerobics routine. High impact aerobic moves include jumping, skipping and running.
Fit Ball
As the fit ball creates an unstable environment, the exercises performed require a greater amount of control. Using the fitball helps improve balance, control and core stability.
Hi Energy/ABT (Abs, Butts and Thighs)
This class will get your heart rate moving. Energetic moves will encourage cardiovascular endurance and build strength. ABT will incorporate specific exercises to target these areas to provide toning and sculpting.
Resistance Bands
The bands are used in a variety of ways to add resistance to some familiar exercises. The added resistance from the band provides a unique way to work specific muscle groups and adds variety to your workout.
